Newmarket 1st XI vs. Littleport 2nd XI at Newmarket

 Newmarket started life at their new ground at the Severals in Newmarket with a convincing win over Littleport, also stretching their winning steak to seven games. Newmarket lost the toss and were asked to bat. Newmarket's openers started strongly win Ollie Rix and Gary Maggott getting adjusted to the new wicket whilst keeping the scoring going. Gary Maggott played a steady innings and shared an unbeaten opening stand with Ollie Rix of 225 who batted into the 33rd over. Both batsmen were eventually out with Gary reaching a good 58 and Ollie a very good 159. Newmarket's next batsmen continued the scoring and pushed hard taking Newmarket's score up to an imposing total of 298 from the 40 overs, with Joe Rodman finishing unbeaten on 33.

From the start Littleport were unable to challange the Newmarket opening bowlers. Runs were being scored however wickets were being lost too quickly as Sam Rodman steamed collected 3 wickets for 21 runs, and Dave Grainger picked up 7 wickets for 22. Littleport only managed to reach a total of 54, resulting in a big win of 244 runs for Newmarket who remain in second place behind the unbeated St. Ives.

 Newmarket's Man of the Match was Dave Grainger for his impressive bowling figures of 8 overs, 7 wickets for only 22 runs.
